Mr William Jackson

Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon.

William is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford University Hospitals. William works specifically as a knee surgeon treating all paediatric and adult knee conditions. William has an interest in optimising function after knee arthroplasty and is a recognised leader in the world of partial and kinematic aligned knee replacement surgery. 

He has a research interest in developing improved ways of training knee surgeons of the future using virtual reality and surgical simulators. 

He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the European Knee Society and the British Association of Knee Surgeons (BASK). 

William was a keen sportsman captaining St Mary’s Hospital and United Hospitals RFC. Unfortunately, knee injuries have now limited his involvement in team sports but he continues to sail and enjoys golf and real tennis.

In his practice he recognised an increase in the number of teenagers sustaining serious knee injuries and in 2019 was one of the founders of SKIPP charity to help promote injury prevention programs across the UK.
