Nev is an experienced T&O Consultant based in Reading, UK, in both the NHS and private sectors. He specializes in children’s orthopaedics and adult knee surgery. Nev completed his medical degree at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London, followed by a 3-year basic surgical rotation in and around London, including T&O jobs at Kingston Hospital and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore.
He spent six years on the Oxford Specialist Registrar Rotation in T&O and incorporated a children’s fellowship at Westmead Kids in Sydney, Australia. Nev is one of only a few surgeons in the UK who have expertise in treating knee problems in patients of all ages. He is also passionate about preventing children’s sports injuries and continues to be one of the UK leads investigating this important topic. He joined SJIPP as a trustee in 2020.
Nev is a keen educator and was the Orthopaedic Tutor at the Royal Berkshire Hospital for over 10 years. He continues to speak at several UK courses on Trauma and Orthopaedics, in particular injury prevention. Outside of work, Nev enjoys a busy family life with his wife and three sports-loving boys. He enjoys playing golf competitively and watching Wales play rugby in Cardiff.
